NYC-Style Chocolate Chip Cookies
Thick, chewy, and loaded with chocolate—these bakery-style cookies are perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 2¼ cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened

  • ¾ cup granulated sugar

  • ¾ cup packed light brown sugar

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 2 large eggs

  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

  3. In a large bowl, beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until creamy.

  4. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each.

  5. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until just combined.

  6. Stir in chocolate chips.

  7. Drop rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets.

  8. Bake 8–10 minutes, or until edges are lightly golden.

  9. Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
