🍗 Crockpot Chicken and Stuffing – The Ultimate Comfort Food Made Easy

The beauty of this dish lies in its simplicity. With just a few everyday ingredients, you can have a full meal that tastes like it took hours of effort.

Ingredients

  • 1 (10.5 ounce) can of cream of chicken soup

  • 1 (6 oz) box of stuffing mix

  • ¾ cup of water

  • 1 (16 oz) bag of frozen green beans

  • 34 large chicken breasts, salted and peppered

📝 Optional Add-ins: Diced sausage, sautéed onions and celery, or even dried cranberries for a festive touch.

These ingredients come together beautifully in your crockpot for a hearty, one-pot meal that’s big on flavor and comfort.

Instructions

Step 1: Prep the Chicken

Start by seasoning your 3–4 large chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Place them directly into the bottom of your crockpot. They’ll act as the flavorful foundation of your dish.

Step 2: Mix the Stuffing

In a mixing bowl, combine:

  • 1 can of cream of chicken soup

  • ½ of the ¾ cup of water (so, about 6 tablespoons)

  • 1 box of stuffing mix

Stir until everything is well incorporated. This mixture will create a deliciously moist, flavorful topping for your chicken.

🥄 Optional: Add a dollop of sour cream for extra creaminess!

Step 3: Layer It On

Spread the stuffing mixture evenly over the chicken in the crockpot.

Step 4: Add the Green Beans

Pour in 1 (16 oz) bag of frozen green beans and the remaining half of the water (about 6 tablespoons). Distribute the green beans across the top, or place them to one side if you’d prefer to keep them separate from the stuffing.

Step 5: Let It Slow Cook

Cover and cook:

  • On HIGH for 4 hours

  • Or on LOW for 6 to 7 hours

During the last hour, if you’re nearby, stir the stuffing mixture a bit to keep the moisture even and ensure the flavors are well distributed.

💡 Pro Tip: This is also the perfect time to add any extras like cooked sausage, diced apples, or toasted nuts for a seasonal twist.
