Crockpot Hot Dog Chili (No Bacon

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef

  • ½ medium onion, finely diced

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced (or 1 tsp garlic powder)

  • 1 (8 oz) can tomato sauce

  • 2 tbsp tomato paste

  • 1 tsp chili powder

  • ½ tsp paprika

  • ½ tsp cumin

  • Salt & pepper to taste

  • ½–1 cup beef broth or water

  • Optional: 1 tsp brown sugar

  • Optional: ½ cup cooked beans (pinto or kidney)

Instructions

    1. In a skillet, brown ground beef with diced onion. Drain fat.

    2. Add beef mixture to the crockpot. Stir in garlic, tomato sauce, tomato paste, spices, and broth.

    3. Cover and cook on LOW 6–8 hours or HIGH 3–4 hours.

    4. Stir, taste, and adjust seasoning. Add more broth if too thick.

    5. Spoon over hot dogs in buns and garnish as desired.
