Add the reserved sauce to a small saucepan. Mix the cornflour and water separately, then add to the saucepan. Simmer over medium heat for 5 minutes, stirring until it thickens to a syrupy consistency. Keep warm; if it thickens too much, add a bit more water. - Cook the Chicken:
